Protesters running away from tear gas that is being shot at them by the army. Funeral of 19-year-old Ni'lin resident Mohamad Khawaja who was shot in the head with live ammunition during a protest in solidarity with the people of Gaza on December 28th. He was taken to hospital and declared braindead, he died on December 31st. During the same protest Arafat Khawaja was shot in the back, he died on the spot, Ni'lin January 1st, 2009.
