The vast majority of the Palestinians – 233 prisoners out of the 300 on Israel’s release list – were held as administrative detainees, without being formally charged. The youngest Palestinian on the list is 14. Israel and Hamas agreed to extend the temporary truce by an additional day. The Israeli colonial regime has stepped up the number of arrests since the October 7, doubling the number of Palestinians in custody to more than 10,000. During the last days of the exchange deals, around the same number of Palestinians who were released have been arrested during Israeli raids in the West Bank.
