Dozens of activists protest in Tel Aviv in solidarity with Palestinians in the West Bank village of al-Mughayyir and surrounding areas, and against ethnic cleansing more broadly in the West Bank, 22 February 2026. The protest was organized after settler militias and Israeli soldiers committed a series of violent pogroms and attacks in the al-Mughayyir area, leading to the forcible displacement of herding communities in the area. In one of the most recent incidents, a 14-year old child and a 35-year-old man were shot with live fire, while a woman and her 12-year-old daughter were beaten. Protesters called for an end to terrorizing Palestinian communities in the West Bank and to ethnic cleansing. Police violently dispersed the Tel Aviv protesters.
The Activestills collective was established in 2005 by a group of documentary photographers, out of a strong conviction that photography is a vehicle for social change. We believe in the power of images to shape public attitudes and to raise awareness on issues that are generally absent from public discourse.
We view ourself as part of the struggle against all forms of oppression, racism, and violations of the basic right to freedom. We do work on various topics, including the grassroots movement and the popular struggle against the Israeli occupation, women’s rights, immigration, asylum-seekers, social justice, the siege on Gaza, and housing rights inside Israel.
