A Palestinian man inspects a mosque that was set on fire by Israelis overnight, in the West Bank village of Jiljilyya, north of Ramallah, 17 June 2026. Attackers sprayed graffiti on the walls, reading “revenge”. Another nearby mosque was set on fire the same night, and earlier in the week another mosque, again in the Ramallah region, was burnt in the village of Burqa. There has been an increasing number of attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinian property in the West Bank, including arson attacks on mosques.
